The collection (1966-1983) contains records related to Arthur Kelman's involvement with the American Phytopathological Society (APS) and the International Society for Plant Pathology (ISPP) including correspondence, meeting minutes, committee materials, reports, newsletters and other papers dealing directly with APS and ISPP. Arthur Kelman was born on December 11, 1918 in Providence, Rhode Island. Kelman received his B.S. (1941) from the University of Rhode Island in botany and a Ph.D. (1949) from North Carolina State University in plant pathology.
